Shadow of a Teenage Daydream
New York City, November 2021 - ongoing
Since November 2021, I have spent nearly every weekend fully immersed in the lives of Gen-Z kids documenting them as they encounter the pleasures and terrors of growing up, experience their first heartbreak, and discover the defiant beauty of introspection.
My on-going project Shadow of a Teenage Daydream centers around a friend group in New York City as it confronts two major battles characteristic of their generation; the mental health crisis and the societal constructs of gender.
A six page spread of the work was featured in Marie Claire Korea in May 2023
